Non-Regulation Officer's Sword - Civil War - Original

This sword shows rough use but no damage and it could easily be restored.  It is in “as found” condition.  Overall length is 39 inches.

Most of the plating is gone from the blade and the blade is pitted on one side but is not nicked or broken. Blade has little its floral design remaining.   “W. CLAUBERG SOLINGEN (with emblem)” is stamped on one side of the ricasso and “PROVED (with cross)” is on the other side.

Most of the sharkskin is gone from the grip.  Wire remains along with wood which has minor nicks.

The stamped steel guard has a large eagle sitting above a U.S with an "E PLURIBUS UNUM" banner above.  Most of the plating has flaked off the guard.

The scabbard is not broken or dented but the drag is worn.
